- Backing vehicle out of parking spot and into shop, heard audible noise from drivers tire area. Did not perform road test due to noise. Inspected brakes, found front brakes at 6mm, found rear shoes at 2mm. Brakes are not the noise heard. Noise is front tires not being torqued. 3 out of 5 lug nuts on drivers side could be taken off by hand. 1 out of 5 on passenger side could be taken off by hand. Torque all lug nuts, when torquing front lug nuts, lug nuts will not properly torque due to washers customer has as spacers. Washers are spacers are unsafe and do not allow enough threds to be grabbed by lug nuts on wheel stud and are more than likely causing lug nuts to back off making them loose. That is why noise customer was hearing progressively got worse as lug nuts were getting looser and looser. Will not perform full road test due to being unsafe. Advise customer not to drive vehicle far until wheel spacers are installed. Wheel spacers have to be installed due to wrong offset on wheels and wheels would hit calipers. **ADVISED CUSTOMER THAT VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITH WASHERS AS SPACERS. CUSTOMER SAYS HE WILL BE RETURNING VEHICLE AT A LATER DATE TO GET PROPER SPACERS INSTALLED ON VEHICLE** *VERIFIED TORQUE ON WHEELS IS 100LBS BEFORE VEHICLE LEFT.*
